Highway Lasagna:
it’s Sunday and I’ve passed half of the morning cooking meat sauce instead of sleeping until midday; at this point, let’s make the whole endeavour also preparing a good highway lasagna, hot, warming, comfortable (probably the term “comfort food” is born watching a lasagna just taken out of the oven dripping béchamel.

My Bolognese sauce recipe:
schools of thought concerning minced meat diverge when they speak of cooking times, but stay calm, if the minced is good also the Bolognese sauce will be good, either you cook it for 20 minutes or a couple of hours. Speaking of daily cooking we can’t say that the Bolognese sauce is simple and fast to prepare, but if Sunday morning you get some time to devote in cookery, then try it, it will change your weekend!

German style potatoes: Kartoffelsalat:
I often prepare this dish (try asking my roommates) and very gladly. Germans would say it’s an excellent side dish to sausages based courses, and also Austrian would agree, with their breaded cutlets. Well, I see, it’s not quite like to serve a side dish of crunchy green beans or a cherry tomatoes salad, but if you would also like to open a good bottle of beer to come along with the dinner, you can pass over the healthy food (for a week, at least); then, if you love the mitteleuropean genre, I would also suggest you a sauerkraut dish and much, very much mustard.
The recipe is very simple, you only need the time to let the potatoes cool down; the salad must be served cold.
